2027 SCIENCE & ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL ECO SUMMIT
When: March 31-April 3, 2027
Where: Sarasota Opera House & Five Points Park
Florida faces a future of declining ecosystems, rising pollution and unchecked sprawl. Do we choose this future by default or a new future by design? Through speculative storytelling and real-world solutions, EcoSummit 2027 moves from imagination to action across four critical domains: natural lands, resilient waterways, environmental-human health and living cities. It’s a positive, forward-looking alternative to the gloom-and-doom narrative. Blending ecology and technology, performing and visual arts, speculative futures and community, we showcase a hopeful future where protected wildlands are free to flourish, healthy cities thrive with nature rather than against and communities move to the rhythm of their watersheds.
